Project Planning

Delivering a job, project or contract on time to your customer is vital once you've won the work. Planning the work will be key to this.

Silver-Owl incorporates a planning tool that is very easy to use and intuitive, even for people who are not trained full time Project Managers, helping you ensure that work is organised efficiently and you know in advance when it is likely to be completed.

There is no need to manually work out when each task will be done – the duration is calculated automatically for you!

Project Level

Tasks are entered with a description, hours to do, priority, optional earliest start date and maximum hours per day. Each may be dependent upon other tasks or milestones and if assigned to more than one person you can specify whether they must all do it at once.

Milestones may be created and linked to the milestones/stages shown in a Progress Report and start/end dates automatically synchronised.

Regular repeating tasks (e.g. meetings) can allow for what will happen if some people are not available.

Simply by clicking one of two "schedule" buttons Silver−Owl will convert the tasks into a plan, taking account of holidays and leave, giving the date each task will be started and completed. Your plan may be baselined and you can save different versions of it.

The "stand-alone" mode assumes your team is dedicated to this project, producing the optimum plan.

Various simple or detailed Gantt charts show the Project Plan or all work for a person.

Business Level

The "master-plan" mode takes account of any commitments your staff have to other projects. If you are happy with the result you can then commit your project to your company's master-plan.
