Action Tracking

Everbody is given actions from time to time. Silver-Owl provides the framework for actions that arise from five sources:

- assigned at meetings
- to mitigate risks and issues
- relating to dealings with another company
- gaining ownership of specific pieces of work or jobs
- given on an ad-hoc basis.

It's always useful to have a record of where you've got to with an action, especially if it is complex. If someone else needs to know, first they have to find (and interrupt) you. This can lead you both to waste time - time which is saved by Silver-Owl as the information can be stored and saved in seconds and be immediately available.

This is one of the most important features of Silver-Owl because although projects should be managed from project plans, invariably in the real world a lot of work gets progressed by people's actions!

Personal Level

Every user can view, track and progress all their actions, from all projects, in one place.

Each user can update their personal progress and for multi-person actions the responsible 'owner' can give an overall status.

Users can view other people's actions (unless marked as 'confidential') so that they can see what has been done.

Project Level

Actions relating to a project can be viewed and updated in the same way, whoever they are assigned to, unless they are marked 'confidential'.
